Mustangs Win Win & more…

The Mehlville Panthers travelled to Marquette to take on the Mustangs in varsity baseball action. The Panthers are coming into this game with a .500 record coming off a big win against Desoto.  The Mustangs hold a 7-1 win record losing only their first game of the season.  Since then they have won every game with nothing less than a 5 run difference.

The Mustangs continued their winning streak by pitching seven scoreless innings while scoring nine runs. The 9-0 shutout improved the Mustangs record to 8-1 as both teams head towards games on Saturday.  The Mustangs play two games with the first playing the Vikings at Francis Howell with a 10-3 record.  Later that day they take on the 7-4 Oakville Tigers.  The panthers take their winless record to the Falcons of Rockwood Summit with a 4-6 record.

The non-defeated Panthers hosted the Mustangs in high school JV baseball Thursday evening. Weather conditions did not stop the Panthers from winning 2-1.

The first four innings was a pitcher dual with shutout baseball. It only took the Panthers 3 hits to score two runs in the bottom of the fifth.  The mustangs answered with a run of their own in the top of the sixth. Zach Moore closed the Mustangs back down to finish his day with 6 innings.  Zach Clevhorn came in the seventh to close out for the save.

The Marquette Mustangs hosted the Panthers of Mehlville in high school volleyball action this evening.

The freshmen Mustangs took this set in two games. They won 25-14 and 25-18 respectively.  The JV also took the set in two straight games winning 25-16 & 25-15.

The Varsity game was expected to be a great matchup as the Panthers are 4-4 and the Mustangs are undefeated. The Mustangs took the first game 26-24 as the Panthers pushed them to the limit.  However the Mustangs came back and won the set by winning the second game 25-9 to remain undefeated.

It was fast and exciting volleyball action Thursday evening at Rockwood Summit High School. The Falcons hosted the Colts from Parkway Central in all three levels of volleyball.

It took three games for the freshmen Falcons to win the level 2-1. However the Colts responded by taking the JV level 2-1.

The varsity level was expected to be another exciting battle as the Colts are 1 game above .500 and the Falcons are two. However the Colts took the match in two games straight therefore giving the Colts two levels.

The lady Panthers travelled to Marquette to take on the Lady Mustangs in high school varsity soccer action. The Panthers were looking for their first win of the season while the Mustangs are 2-2-1.

The Mustangs refused to give the Panthers their first win. The Panthers struck first but the Mustangs tied it up.  Then the Mustangs scored two unanswered goals to win 3-1.
